Some Advice About Toshiba notebook Parts

If your computer breaks down or you would like to upgrade, adding parts to your computer should be no problem. This is also true for a notebook computer but should be left to a professional. There are however some upgrades and repairs that you can accomplish yourself without to much trouble using genuine Toshiba parts or even generic replace parts. Then there are upgrades that will require only Toshiba notebook parts.

So lets look at some typical situations and see if we have a dead notebook or if you can use Toshiba notebook parts to repair it.

Notebook Upgrades

Generally speaking any notebook computer can be upgraded. Look at your owners manual or go online to determine what parts can be replaced. Normally you can upgrade your hard drive and memory but unless you know how to do this you should take it to a professional.

When it comes to memory you are probably better off using genuine Toshiba notebook parts on that but hard drives are made by other manufacturers and you need to check your manual for compatibility.

It is not possible to upgrade your laptop screen. If you would like or need a larger screen then you will need to get a new laptop.

Dead notebook

Even though notebooks are much more durable than they used to be, dropping a laptop that is not protected by some sort of case my due serious damage to Toshiba notebook parts and circuits. Dropping the notebook in water may be fatal.

Repairable Parts.

Defective notebook screens can usually be repaired although in some case they may not be repaired. Other componets such as the power supply and battery can be replaced if necessary.

The DVD drive and CD-Rom can be replaced or upgraded using Toshiba notebook parts.
